Exceptional Historic Property Redevelopment Opportunity
The Salem Redevelopment Authority (SRA) is seeking proposals from qualified developers for the purchase and redevelopment of the historic Old Salem Jail complex in downtown Salem. The SRA goals include historic renovation and adaptive reuse of the vacant buildings and land, and view its redevelopment as a capstone to the dynamic redevelopment of downtown. The Old Salem Jail is in a prominent location, surrounded by substantial new public and private reinvestment, as well as extraordinary nearby cultural and community attractions, with pedestrian, vehicular and commuter rail access. Requests for Proposals (RFP) are available to respondenets for $200 at the address below. Please make checks payable to the Salem Redevelopment Authority.
